9 - 9 - 15 ... red and green

Oh my, September already !
We have some sunshine again,
but in the garden you can feel autumn getting nearer.

My last Alliums ...

they found a "better" spot :
between the paving stones instead of open ground
(where I put them)

and my Black Elderberry

(with its dark red foliage and pink blossom)
and shining berries

*
Still going strong with the little felted pouches.
I owed a better image of the first
bluish-green one
(or is it greenish blue ?)

closed, and the double flap open
to reveal the tiny "secret" pocket
(I'm not too keen on the push button
but it keeps the flaps well closed, and I see no other option)

I tried it on with a black leather belt
and it looks quite nice
(I think)

Then I started on a RED pouch.

The inside colours ..... and a rather tricky bottom part,

little pocket at the front side ..... and a tunnel at the back,

removing the template ..... and working inside out.

And here is "RED"
(ha, love the rusted garden bird behind / on top of it !)

Two belt pouches ...
(might be fun to wear with a Medieval costume for example ...)

In my bed last night
I thought of many more little pouches
(though there isn't much time ...)

A GREEN one would be nice too  ;-)

bag, flap, pocket

The front side of the flap.

All nice packed up ...
that's how far I got before dinner,
till I had to go away for the first Mandala evening for this season.

(to be comtinued)

circles

It's a bit quiet over here.
Not that I'm doing nothing ...
but there is not so much to tell you about
because lots of things are just still
in progress

I simply love circles,
anywhere
the moon, mandalas, Alliums ...
Right now the garden is "exploding" with
Alliums !

True purple sensation !

Allium Roseum just all around the garden

And in a wee corner next to the door

Allium Christophii ....
(yes, I put some dead heads  in the pots some years ago)

More circles out of fabric

waiting to become a necklace

Ohhh, that moon (14 - 5 - 14)

Yesterday evening
when I shut down the computer
a wonderful full moon shone through the curtains.

I stepped out on the balcony
and tried for the umpteenth time
to take a picture of it
...
and once more :
nothing good enough to show
(I don't know how other people do it)

It made me want to draw one today instead,
as tonight is our last mandala evening for this season.

I combined it with a bit of garden :
the Allium roseum have spread everywhere
but I don't mind.
I love their delicate withish pink petals

They spread
because (good) bulbs underground do,
but also because they have lots of tiny brood bulbs
at the bottom of the flower cluster
;-)

I thought the moon and my Alliums to be an excellent combination
for an extra mandala today

just garden-busy

The fact that we had so much rain and
(after that and in between)
some sunshine
makes a bit of a  jungle of the garden.

Not that I don't like that,
but it means I should DO something about it.
Or otherwise I won't be able to walk trough
my tiny one-stone-paths.

LOTS and LOTS of withered Alium Roseum
needed to come out.
A gentle tug on the stem easily does the trick
but sometimes the little bulb is pulled out too ...

I just cut the stem off and let them dry inside.
And you know what :
I know at least two people who will be happy to recieve them
(Stins .... Yvette ...)

But I also have

the cut off dried flower heads
with   minuscule  bulbs
(I'm thinking of just throwing them around in public garden space)
;-)

... and it will look like this in a few years time !
