I've been working on two more hanging dolls,
number two is nearly finished
though I need to drill some tiny holes
and my Dremel is missing a special part
(so to the hardware store tomorrow first)

Ohhhh my
in the twenties already :
you have to be quick to snap up a beauty
because time is running out soon !

I'm always greatly astonished
how much time stitching such small things take :
nearly a whole day.
(I started yesterday !)
Just trying to be "invisible" on the inside
of the lid of this small "luck box"
is time-consuming !

Stitching on still slightly damp felt
isn't the best
. . . . .
but you have to make do
with what you have available.
Since I had no other little felts prepared
than the one of  yesterday, that's what I did.
(back to felting when this post is finished !)

(NO, I didn't see that moon last night)
And today

overcast and now and then a fine drizzle ...

AUTUMN weather !

I took out the machine once more :

for another tree.

In the house where we lived before we came here

we had a birch tree, right in front of the house.

Light and airy,

lovely green in spring

and yellow in autumn.

(grrrr ... the people who bought our house

immediately chopped it down :

because of the many flying little seeds)

Still sunshine and warm

(which isn't usual for October)

I want to alternate hand stitched on felt

and machine stitched ...

but my back said today : machine stitching is better

(though there is always some hand stitching in the end)

So

Though the leaves are falling soon,

this tree will keep its autumn glory forever !

A good high backed garden chair

is good for my back, so I'm still going strong.

I love my garden, and though it's rather small, I have three trees.

I think there must be (at least) one tree

in every garden.

Trees are a beautiful example

of the ongoing renewal of nature !
