 Clouds and rain
(though completely unexpected
the sun came out sometimes too)
Water droplets on the window pane,
"droplets" on my jewel too.
The colours of the threads made me think of salmon
jumping against the current to spawn.

 We are happy
to have lots of birds visiting our garden.
Although small there are trees and shrubs
where birds can hide and forage.
(it is so sad to see how many people think that paving stones and pots
give you a low-maintenance garden : poor insects and birds !)

 Today is the start of the second half of my "Pinktober". 
I had some extra work to do
so it wasn't easy  to take pictures :
the light isn't  very good so late on cloudy days.
Moreover, purple is a tricky colour to photograph.

A cloudy day,
dark inside : so my chair near the window
is the best place for stitching.
Even then I sometimes need an extra lamp to see what I'm doing,
especially when using "invisible thread".

Some white wool
that I bought last Saturday
was just right for a new jewel.
Because it was now dry it was ready for stitching.
Though I LOVE colours
there will always be a few white jewels too.
