This afternoon we had a little pre celebration

with daughter and kids :

High Tea !

But before we went there I had time enough

to do the stitching on today's jewel,

and take the pictures.

A lazy Sunday :

(but I first had to finish something secret)

O yes

a lovely day with sunshine

for the postponed "High Tea" birthday party !

The door to the garden was open all day !

Man had made several delicious snacks,

daughter and granddaughter made yummy cupcakes,

and there were some more sweets

of our great local bakery,

and enough tea and coffee to keep everybody HAPPY !

I had taken into account that this would be a busy day

with little or no stitching-time left,

so a few days ago when I was on the machine

for the textile beads (on commission)

I put some of my lovely blue fabrics together for a brooch.

(ha, I nééded that one today !)

Suddenly Autumn returned.

That was not so bad for the little felted pieces

I made last night and this morning :

they're stuffed with paper

on the heating.

But problems photographing this day's jewel.

Even under the day-light lamp

the purple turns blue ...

(hmmmm ... had to stitch a back to this one,

because I thought the felted circle was a bit thin ...

now I'm pleased with it !)

Still sunny weather !

(lasting longer than we thought ...

children happy because of the Autumn holidays !)

No wet felted prepared pieces left

so today I took some hand dyed wool felt

from the ("Waldorf") shop

and a little heart shape

(that I also used last year)
