Yesterday was the very last day
that the artwork, conceived and organized by
textile artist Sara Vrugt
was exhibited in the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam.
Daughter and I went to town
especially for that !
In November that exquisite artwork will be shown
in the townhall of The Hague.
(I wrote about stitching some leaves earlier see here)
this owl is the biggest and right in the heart of the spiral.
Next to all the extra leaves that came in from all over the world
after the standstill when Covid hit us all !

VerwijderenOh what a wonderful project to have been part of. The video was so interesting, and towards the end when she walks through the installation, you suddenly realise that, as you walk around it, the air displaced by your body makes it move. Magical. You and your daughter must have been entranced :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOhhhh YES Kat, we were, it was really magical ! And the best part was that we were alone, so we could wonder and look at all the beautiful details !!! (the pictures give you only a vague impression)
