day 27, number 14

People hardly ever realize
how long it takes to embroider
such small items as my textile jewels
I myself forget it sometimes !

The thin crochet cotton I use for stitching now and then
(in stead of DMC embroidery floss)
is a bit too thick for fine needles.
So I pull off one of the three plies.
A bit awkward to do but I like the thinner thread better.
But like all threads, while working,
it starts to crinkle and form knots which you have to untangle
before you can pull the stitch tight.
Hmmmm
but I always get there in the end !!!
