May
is a month of greens
of growth
of promises for the future
of new life
a garden full of delicate little blue flowers
(a try out of my new Derwent Inktense pencils and a bit of water)
I even made a quilt once, called "Remember May"
detail
(I try to remember
in the gray of November
that spring green day in May)
Our daughter finished yesterday a lovely felting task:
a small rainbow baby blanket
(especially inspired by the felt work of Jana)
It wasn't an easy project, but all worked out very well !
the first layer made, hearts cut out and a backing of very thin silk
playing "quatre mains", and removal the auxiliary threads (grrrrr)

But in Holland
May 4
is also a day of awareness :
remembering the dead
from world war II
and wars after that
lovely May
That May quilt is fabulous!
